We’re taking turns taking pictures of the little tiny creature who’s fast asleep on the bed beside us. We all survived today and the chaotic scene at the Adoption Centre, commonly known as Gotcha Day and I can’t imagine what it’s like for the children. Juno cried of course, but one of the kids screamed so loud and so long that it was pretty traumatic. Poor new mother kept it together but most of us had an easier time. Four of Juno’s caregivers came with her today and it was pretty evident of her attachment to them, and theirs for her. They’ve requested that we visit the orphanage later this week which is awesome for us. It’ll give her another chance to say good-bye, but also an opportunity for us to take pictures of where she slept and played and ate. These things will all be important to her as she grows up and wants to know as much about her past as we can tell her. Once we got her to the room she calmed down (she almost fell asleep in the van after I sang Wheels on the Bus a hundred times before Marty suggested 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall. I got to about 79 when she started nodding off, but we arrived so she was back up.)
She’s pretty calm and seems happy with all of the attention. Then she rolled onto her belly and fell asleep. She still is.

Congratulations…Juno is beautiful…may God bless you all…and safe trip back!
Joanne–Congratulations so many times over! She’s gorgeous. I am so happy for you. . . glad to catch up with you at such a wonderful time. Kristin
Hi Kristin – thanks for posting. Yes, long time no see – hope all’s well with your clan. We have a clan now too (what’s the minimum for a clan?).
Take care!
Jo
Wow! She’s so sweet! Congratulations and I hope you don’t mind if I share your epic journey with MaryAnn. I will bookmark your blog.
Although it probably feels a little weird right now her next life is going to be good. That’s what Hannah said. She’s going to have a good life. That’s the truth. She’s such a cutie pie.
Wow, congratulations Joanne and family!! So happy for you all. Look forward to hearing more stories at Nov book club. Cheers!
