bunny magic

A happy Easter was had by one and all in the Budbug household and the Easter bunny managed to find us out in the woods.  Kman was concerned that his Easter-egg hunt might not materialize since the Easter bunny didn’t know we were going to be away for the weekend.  We assured him that the bunny has extraordinary tracking capabilities, a talent that is no doubt enhanced by those huge ears.  What surprised us is that our 9 1/2 year old still believes in the Easter bunny at all (and Santa too).  Each time a holiday goes by we’re waiting for him to say that he no longer believes (sniff!) and that we’ll have to explain our duplicity with heads hung appropriately low.  Maybe he knows, but after watching The Polar Express 30,000 times he’s decided that he’s going to believe as long as those around him don’t spoil the magic; or maybe he’s just worried about how upset we’ll be when he admits he knows the truth.

  1. It surprises me too even Hannah a month away from 17 has never said “there is no Santa”;they know a good thing and are not about to ruin it I say.
